It’s not goodbye… It’s time for change.
I’ve made the difficult decision to list the salon for sale, to begin a new exciting chapter for Ian and I. This will also allow someone the opportunity to take off and lift the salon to an even greater potential, all whilst ensuring our community does not lose a service that has been provided for over 30 years in Pomona.
Ian has been fortunate enough to be able to expand his business and we are both very excited about our new venture that we’re diving into together!
The complexity of finding the “right way” to announce my decision to sell the business has caused a great amount of internal angst. It’s proven to be so incredibly hard and has made me realise, more than ever, just how much you all mean to me.
Studio 24 on Reserve will always be one of my greatest achievement as a first business, I have literally been living and breathing my hairdressing career for more than half of my life and have loved it! It’s been the most fulfilling experience, I am beyond proud of myself for what I have achieved and I’ll be eternally grateful for all the amazing relationships and lifelong friendships I have made along the way.
I’d hate for you, my clients who mean so much to me, to feel as though I didn’t want to tell you, or for you to find out in an unfair way through others. I just hadn’t found the right time or words till now. I’ve wanted to open up and tell you all personally, but telling each person individually ran the risk of some finding out second hand and I wouldn’t like that! I want you to hear it directly from me, openly and honestly.
By no means do I plan to disappear immediately or even once the salon is sold, I would love to explore the opportunities of staying employed within the business on a part-time basis, along side new owners.
So... It's not goodbye, it's just time for change!
Much love,
Megan.
